Lockdown 3.
After the fleeting ‘highs’ of a minimal Christmas and a solitary New Year, a brand new lockdown was upon us and brought along its own ideas of entertainment. This time was longer, colder and darker but also gave us a much needed window of fun with a day or two of snow to lighten the mood and raise some spirits.
Gear wise, I’ve been sticking to the 50mm F2 for all my walk-around and landscape shots recently as I’m still really enjoying the compression. It also gives me the opportunity to take a sneaky portrait while keeping my distance and as the streets are so empty at the moment, it allows me to step back and get wider clean shots of the buildings and area around me. I think i’ll swap back to the 35mm F2 soon, it might be the best digital lens i’ve ever used and kinda can’t be beaten for portraits even though thats really what the 50mm is made for. Never thought id use them the opposite away around but it’s worked out amazingly so far!
