Khadija.

My first real portrait shoot since the new year, where has the time gone? I was as excited as I was nervous about feeling rusty but shooting with Khadija is always the best. Khadija has a really cool personal style when it comes to fashion and I really wanted to photograph her as she is every day. I had previously spotted a photo of her with her hood up and thought it would be the perfect way to frame her face and draw the focus into her eyes. With her hoodie and hair being black, it would really allow her skin tone to pop and bring some warmth to the photo. In my mind I envisioned this simple background that complimented her reflective jacket and I ended up spotting a giant empty shop window with a brown curtain and strong reflections of the buildings behind me which worked out as the perfect setting for the shoot.

Shot on the Fuji XT3 with the 35 F2 and 50 F2.
